Some ideas for Sign it!

Very happy with initial product. I have some suggestions for future updates.

- ability to resize and move signature (just like you can with text)
- ability to import and store signatures, initials, etc. for ongoing use
- ability to upload and download PDFs from google docs, drop box, evernote, etc.
- support for fillable PDFs
- back button (back to file list) from the screen where you edit the open file

bugs noticed

- unexpected crashes (this is not the only app that does this for me, it may be ios4)
- unable to see entire file names on file lists

German localization

Even if you don´t speak german, it would be awesome if you localize Sign it (maybe with the help of some users or GOOGGLE TRANSLATE)

Drop.io no longer avail dec 15

Sign It! (new feature, bug fix, etc)

Please locate in German! Please insert multiple formats of documents support (MS Word, pictures, ...). Please customize! When the app from iPhone 4 crashes sometimes.

Digital signature

i have a government approved digital signature, which is adobe based and saved on a device. Can I use it to sign in Sign It. Can it be stored and password protected? It is issued by Team Askin Technologies for the FEderal Aviation Administration, cadmin@teamaskin.com

The best document sign app

I'd like you to know that I've tested this app against all other document signing apps available. "Sign it!" is definately the most stable. There's no doubt about it, and the easiest to use. You need to add a "checkbox" mark and a "cross" mark in the images section, as well as a way to insert your own images. There's a small bug with dropbox integration. You can connect to the dropbox, but if you go too far in, there's no way to get out back to the parent directory. Ever! You need to re-install the app. Even despite this feature, unfortunately your app still beats the competition.

Rotating text

Some PDFs are scanned horizontally, requiring the ability by Sign It to rotate text or rotate the PDF view.

Word Wrapping

Word-Wrap is not currently planned as text is focused on short inputs, designed for form-filling within a PDF. But, if word-wrapping is a popular idea we will certainly add it to the development que!

Import from photo roll

I want to import PDFs from my Photo Roll. Is this possible? Which folder is Sign It currently looking at when I ask to Import Local Files?

Apple does not allow file integration with Photo Roll BUT it does allow you to import files from your Desktop to the Sign It! app using iTunes. Once those have been added and synced they will appear in the "Local Files" within the app.

Transparent background images as signature

Would be great to be able to use transparent gif or png files as my signature. It would look more authentic if it appears to go over lines and boxes (a foreground image) etc.

Signature not resizable missing feature

Last version on an Ipad 2 with iOS 5. Very disappointed to see that there is no possibility to resize a signature box to make it compatible with the place available in your pdf. You can only move it. So it's a big issue with existing PDF ! Please fix this ASAP. Best Regards Bernard

You are able to resize using the slider. Just click on this tab http://d.pr/RSHC and then use the slider to resize.

Resizable signature box

Great app. Quite useful. Great that you have a resizable final box, but I need to have a bigger box to actually sign my signature. WIth your resize bar, I could then resize my final signature it to fit the area. Please provide resize handles on the actual box that's used to capture the signature. Thanks

Thanks. Have you tried rotating your device to landscape? That will give you a much larger signature box. Please let us know if that helps.

This is because you have too many other PDF editor or reading apps. You'll need to remove them to make room on the Open With list for then Sign It! app.

larger space. Browse web for pdf

Just turn your iPhone/iPad sideways to the landscape position and you'll have a very large signature pad! Web folder browsing coming soon. For now, only Dropbox is available.

Other little thoughts

I would suggest the ability to rotate your signature (like the stamps) because when you sign, signatures may not be straight on input. You may even be able to add a 'line' on the signature pad when inputing to give you a guide to the straightness of the signature that doesn't show up when adding to the document. Also the inclusion of more stamps such as PAID, SENT, DELIVERED etc would be hugely beneficial. (why have a stamp "RETURNED" when you do not have one for "DELIVERED"?)

I know this has been mentioned in a previous message, however... Please can we gain more integration from places to open your documents from, mobileme and google docs I feel are a must to turn this app from good to great.

FTP Connection

Why you don't remove this links and make it possible to connect to a FTP Server what is in usage from the owner? I hate your software because of those additional Services. Every Business has his own FTP and can not use it for this purpose because you using this "drop.it" or other crap.

This feature already exists. Simply tilt your iPhone to the horizontal position when you're adding a signature and you'll see a full screen signature pad! Let us know what you think!
